Potable and Raw Waterline Design

Potable and Raw Waterline Design

JFSA has designed numerous waterlines for new water systems, existing system extensions, and residential, commercial, and light industrial development water distribution systems. Waterline designs typically include construction plans, specifications, and standard details applicable to local public service district or municipal utility department requirements. Although typical pipe installation is by open cut, our staff has designed crossings for waterways, interstate highways, and railroads that required installation by boring and jacking of casing pipe while specifying the proper carrier pipe required by the design intent.

JFSA staff has extensive experience in design of sanitary sewer systems throughout the Denver metro area and across the country. Our staff is skilled in the planning process and knowledgeable about federal, state, and local requirements. JFSA was responsible for design of the infrastructure supporting redevelopment of the Stapleton Airport property; perhaps one of the greatest infrastructure design projects the Denver area has seen in many years. Relocation of 72-inch interceptors for the Coors Field and Mile High Stadium projects were accomplished without interruption of flows. Our staff is thoroughly familiar with alternatives to conventional "packaged" and custom-built pumping stations. Pneumatic ejectors, submersible grinder pumps, suction lift systems and pre-treatment facilities fill a specialized niche in a wastewater system.
