Current scanners can capture up to one million points per second. The scanned three dimensional data points are used to create a point cloud. The point cloud data can be converted to AutoCad drawings, 3D models, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and more. JFSA recently completed 3D scanning projects for Xcel Energy and Miller-Coors.

JFSA completed construction staking for CDOT bridge replacement project. The project included staking bridge foundations, girders, MSE walls, storm sewer, asphalt paving, curb and gutter and more.

JFSA completed topographic design survey of Ruby Hill Park in Denver. The project included surveying recent improvements to the park, storm sewer system, electrical lines and identifying, size, height and type of all trees in the park.

JFSA was contracted to stake five bridges, one tunnel structure and a retaining wall for a portion of the $700+ million project from Denver to Jefferson County. Two of the bridges are for light rail track, the other three bridges are reconstruction for roadway to accommodate the light rail running under the newly constructed bridges. The tunnel structure is for the light rail line to run underneath I-70 crossing at about 6th Avenue in Golden.

In February 2010, JFSA was contracted to complete a topographic design survey of approximately 3000 lineal feet of Broadway Avenue from right-of-way to right-of-way. In addition to the design survey, JFSA completed right-of-way plans, ownership map and a survey control diagram.
