JFSA served as the consultant for the Regional Detention Pond Improvement Project at Simms Street and South Ward Street in Jefferson County, Colorado. The site, maintained by Foothills Park and Recreation District, consisted of approximately 2.5 acres of land utilized for regional stormwater detention. JFSA's services included preliminary and final design for drainage, grading, and erosion control; construction cost analysis; and construction administration.

Drainage Improvements for Broadway & University Expansion

Broadway & University Underpasses at E-470, Douglas County, Colorado
Drainage Improvements

This expansion project included widening the underpasses by one lane in both directions to improve the efficiency of traffic flow under C-470. As part of this project, JFSA modeled the areas tributary to the intersections for stormwater runoff. Both intersections have a network of channels, detention facilities, and storm sewers to convey runoff to downstream drainage ways. JFSA analyzed the system for the ultimate build-out condition and designed improvements in accordance with the expansion effort and facility upgrades. JFSA provided drainage plans showing proposed catch basins and storm sewers.
